I haven't written for the entire summer?!? So much has happened. We went to Gatlinburg, Dallas, I went to Palm Springs. We went swimming, ate snow cones, went to Bouncin Bears. Celebrated the 4th of July with lots of fireworks. We skipped naps. We went to bed late. Cruz started pretending a lot. He goes to the store to get chicken nuggets, apple juice, and coffee. He loves Team Umizoomi, frozen, big hero 6 and got to see Minions in the movie theater. Cruz gets his hair cut a lot and still loves the fun bus. He loves to play "bad guys". Nightly we wear masks and have our light saber and swords and try not to "die" although we can get our powers back by stealing the light saber. Cruz loves to test me although when trying he is s good listener. It was a few short months ago that I would rock him to sleep. Now we read stories and I lay in the big bear while he asks me for water or demands another book. I eventually tell him that I am tired. I kiss him good night and he goes to sleep on his own. I love him with all my hear. He tests me every day but is the best reason I do what I do. He has grown up so much since May. The makes me proud to be his mommy.
